The highly trained oral and maxillofacial surgeons at an oral surgery center specialize in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of diseases, injuries, and other issues relating to the hard and soft tissues of the oral and maxillofacial region. Common procedures at these facilities include tooth extraction, removal of impacted wisdom teeth, dental implants, bone grafting, jaw surgery, surgeries for facial traumas, surgical treatment of sleep apnea, and certain cosmetic facial surgeries.
